My response to the landscape brings nature into the process of making art. I work in tune with the seasons, collecting and processing leaves and fibres which I use to make paper.
Each sheet of leaf paper is unique and is created with an image in mind so that the characteristics of the different leaf species form an integral part of the finished work. Multi layered drawings are screen printed on to the leaf paper to form unique composite images.
The challenge is always to strike the right balance between leaf paper and image, man and environment.
